ATTENTION EAC HURDLERS AND HURDLES COACHES

Hurdling Scotland will again be hosting Winter training sessions at Pitreavie Stadium.  It is our intention to hold sessions through the winter – one a month (not Feb as this is championship month and very busy) – obviously this depends on Scottish Athletic championships and National Squad days. The first session is scheduled for Sunday 24th October (confirmation will be posted) Coaches are welcome to come and assist on the day or observe – this is a great chance to mix and ask “why are you doing it that way ….?” J Hurdlers in the U13; U15; U17; U20 and Senior to Masters (male and female) are welcome – all we ask is that you have some experience of hurdling. The sessions are held on a Sunday between 1pm and 4pm; cost is £3 per session payable to coaches on the day (this covers the hiring of the facility – please don’t pay at Stadium reception) Sessions will cover many aspects of Hurdling; Sprint Hurdles; 300/400m Hurdles; start work; over distance; technical detail and there will be coaches on hand to give assistance if you have any specific problems. Some sessions will also have a guest for a question and answering session (Previous guest has been Eilidh Child – World Champs Semi-finalist 2009; European U23 Silver medallist 2009 and Senior European Finalist 2010) We also have starters attend the Championship preparation session in January (hope to do this again) Athletes/Parents – please ensure you have the permission of your coach to attend these sessions. EAC had a great turn out last year; the sessions are fun but carry the seriousness required to be useful to all  Detailed information can be found on http://sites.google.com/site/hurdlingscotland/ or chat to Pat Sinclair pagesin@blueyonder.co.uk or Brian Winning coachbri@hotmail.co.uk at training.
