As the seasons move into autumn, in our post covid world, I wanted to write an open letter to all the members of EAC Endurance and beyond.

Competing for Scotland in the U20 Team at the Junior Home Country International in the Wicklow Mountains south of Dublin, they were up against a dominant England team who secured the top four places, however Jessica Taylor was very much in the mix to take fifth place.

Medals at the Scottish 10k Road Race

Congratulations to Tim Hely winning the bronze medal at the World Masters Athletics Championships M50, 3000m steeplechase in 10:35, being held in Gothenburg Sweden, yesterday evening.

In an exciting race in the Olympics 1500m, Josh Kerr won Silver in a new British Record time of 3:27.79 only 0.14 secs behind American Cole Hocker.

Thank you to all those athletes, who took the opportunity to represent Edinburgh AC in this season’s Scottish National Athletics League and while it was a solid 3rd place finish at the end of the 3 matches, behind winners Aberdeen AC and Victoria Park it would be great to see  increased numbers participating, especially in the field events next season.

Edinburgh Athletic Club’s senior ladies’ endurance squad have enjoyed a recent run of great success at competitions across Scotland.

Congratulations to Andrew Fyfe and Kirsty Walker, both selected to the Scottish Team for the Home Nations Podium 5K, to be held in Cardiff on the 24^th August

Well done to our athletes competing in the Scottish Combined Events and Masters Championships in Dundee.

Congratulations to Elsa McGregor and Jessica Taylor, members of the Scottish team who with other team members, Ava Richardson and Ruth Walsh  won Bronze in the International Youth Cup in Montana Palettina in Spain.
